Irene,   On July 20, 2022 when you first stepped off the plane in Knoxville, I was filled with so much excitement. I honestly didn't know I could love another person as much as I grew to love you. You instantly became a part of our family. I look back and think of all the memories we made.. too many to count. I will never forget our car rides singing to our favorite songs, baking our favorite cookies, going to the mountains, football games, basketball games, baseball games, the beach, and of course NYC.  The hours we spent on the screen porch learning all those dang cheers and dances. I think Ry and I could have made the cheer team as well. Ha!  One memory I will never forget is the day the horses escaped on me and Ry and were running down the road and we had to call you for backup.  On June 1st we took Irene to the airport to head back home to her family. This has been the most amazing experience ever and I wouldn't trade anything. We knew right off that Irene was going to fit in well with our family and that she did. We are so thankful for her parents who allowed her to come to the U.S.A. this past year. We can't imagine life without her!  June 1st was the hardest day of my life. It was like losing a piece of my heart. I can't wait until she comes back to visit.... SOON!

Final days...

Irene stayed very busy the last week she was here. Visiting with friends to say goodbye, boating, helping out at my school, eating at Texas Roadhouse and buying a new fish!

Irene and baseball

Not only did Irene support Tucker and attend almost everyone of his baseball games, she also got to experience his team going much further than just the regular season... We got to travel to Murfreesboro and spend several days at Tucker and his team played for the state championship. They came up short but did finish in the top 4 of the state along with being district and region champs.
