Letter
Irene,
On July 20, 2022 when you first stepped off the plane in Knoxville, I was filled with so much excitement. I honestly didn't know I could love another person as much as I grew to love you. You instantly became a part of our family. I look back and think of all the memories we made.. too many to count. I will never forget our car rides singing to our favorite songs, baking our favorite cookies, going to the mountains, football games, basketball games, baseball games, the beach, and of course NYC. The hours we spent on the screen porch learning all those dang cheers and dances. I think Ry and I could have made the cheer team as well. Ha! One memory I will never forget is the day the horses escaped on me and Ry and were running down the road and we had to call you for backup. Phew, what a day!!! I still cling to those talks we often had about Jesus. I know you were confused in your beliefs, but just know I pray daily that one day you will come to know Him as your Savior so I will have that assurance I will spend eternity with you in Heaven. You know I can't go a lifetime without you! I want you to always know that I love you just as I love my own children and the distance between us will never change that. You will always have a family and home in Tennessee!!!
Love you to the moon and back and back again!
Love,
Mum
